You can delete your Mawadda account at any time. There are two ways: inside the app (immediate) or by email (within 7 business days). Both remove your account and the data listed below.
1. In the app (immediate)
- Open Mawadda and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom right).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the warning. Type
DELETEin capital letters to confirm. - Tap CONFIRM DELETION.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out on this device. No re-authentication is required beyond your active sign-in. This cannot be undone.
2. By email (if you cannot open the app)
Send an email to info@mawadda.app with the subject line Delete my Mawadda account.
- Send it from the email address on your Mawadda account. That is how we verify the request. If you signed up with Google, use that Google address; if you used Sign in with Apple with "Hide My Email", send it from the relay address Apple created, or tell us the display name and approximate sign-up date so we can locate the account and reply to the relay address for confirmation.
- We reply to confirm the request, then delete the account and send a final confirmation. Requests are completed within 7 business days of verification.
- You do not need to give a reason.
3. What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes, from our servers and file storage:
- Your sign-in record (email, password hash, Google or Apple sign-in link). Where we hold an Apple sign-in token, we also ask Apple to revoke it; if that step is not possible, you can remove Mawadda under Settings, Apple Account, Sign in with Apple on your device.
- Your profile: name, display name, avatar colours, gender, relationship stage, marriage date, timezone, notification preferences, streaks, achievements and Barakah seeds.
- Your couple record, and every pending invite code.
- Everything you wrote or recorded: nightly answers, Sealed Vault answers, voice notes, Dealbreaker responses, game turns and results.
- Photos you uploaded in the Camera Roll game.
- Push notification tokens and any queued notifications addressed to you.
- The on-device cache is wiped when you are signed out; uninstalling the app removes anything left.
Your partner: they are unpaired and receive a notification that their partner's account was deleted. It does not say who initiated it or why. Shared content that belonged to your couple record is removed for both of you.
4. What is kept, and for how long

5. Your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a Mawadda Premium subscription. Cancel it first, or you may keep being charged:
- iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Mawadda, Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play, profile icon, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Mawadda, Cancel.
6. Want to leave your partner's pairing without deleting?
Profile tab, Partner connection, Remove connection. Your account stays; the pairing ends; your partner is notified.
